FAQ

Q1- What methods can I use to place an order?

You can place an order by phone, email, fax, or via our downloadable online order forms. Planet Coffee also provides on-site pre-write ordering as an option.

Q2- What is an Energy Surcharge?

The Energy Surcharge is a reflection of fluctuating gas prices. To avoid price increases on product as our operating costs rise, we have a modest energy surcharge on deliveries to cover this cost. This is a standard in the industry.

Q3- Do you sell to residential users?

Yes, we set you up as a customer. If you call in your order for pick up at least 2 hours ahead, we will have it ready for you when you arrive and provide a 5% discount on your k-cup order. Planet Coffee is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. We are unable to deliver to residential customers.

Q4- Is there a minimum dollar amount to have supplies delivered?

Unlike our competitors, Planet Coffee does not have minimum amounts on deliveries. There is an energy surcharge on delivery that does apply.

 Q5- Are there any contracts?

Planet Coffee does not have contracts, we feel our service speaks for itself, and we continue to earn your business everyday!

Q6- Are there any equipment fees, rentals etc.?

Customers of Planet Coffee do not pay rental fees on coffee equipment.  There is a monthly rental fee for water coolers.

Q7- Can I order online?

While you can’t submit your order directly online, you can download our order forms and email or fax them in. Click “Order”, pick your city, download the form and order away!

Q8- What actually happens to our recycled single cup packaging?

All of Planet Coffee’s Single Cup customers participate in our recycling program. All recycling is collected at our warehouse in 1,200lb recycling bags. Once full these bags are shipped to our local partner Waste to Energy Facility. From there the packaging and coffee grounds are separated and combined with other waste products which are then converted into thermal energy to fuel the plant. That which is not used in the thermal energy process is used in other products such as metals, asphalt and other products.

Q9- Do you provide maintenance/ service on your equipment?

Yes! Our Planet Coffee Service Technicians are able to service all of our equipment. All of our equipment is maintained free of charge as part of our service. We also offer service calls free of charge. If you own your equipment there may be additional charges for service.

Q10- I don’t see a product on your list, are you able to get other items?

Planet Coffee is a full service office coffee company, if you have a special item we would be happy to source it out for you!

Q11- What is error code 328 on my Flavia Machine?

Error code 328 on the Flavia Machine is a Packet Jam due to an over filled internal bin. The easiest way to solve this issue is to remove the packet, if possible, then turn the machine off for 10 seconds and turn it back on. Should this issue persist you should contact Planet Coffee and one of our Service Technicians would be happy to assist you.
